Did a little bit more on the 106 over the weekend.
Fitted the gauge senders for the oil temp and oil pressure gauges
And gauges working
Got the raceland 4-2-1 bolted into place, just need to swap lambda sensor over but forgot to bring me socket from work
Also fitted the front mounted cooling fan. Took the advise from the chaps on the previous page (JP, Alex and Willsy) and made sure the fan was set up correctly. Took a few attempts.
Also dug out and fitted my slightly battered lower omp brace which i sprayed black a while ago to tidy it up

Had half hr spare today so decided to chuck a sponge at the xsi.
The car hasn't been cleaned since December 2010 and with being sat outside has had moss growing up in some of the plastics.
Mid wash
After
And waxed the bonnet and came up quite well
Not bad for a 19yr old car

Had a hr to spare today, weather was pretty nice so thought i would do a bit on the xsi.
Ever since i changed from drum to disc beam the brake lines have bothered me. They are made up of sections of standard lines and copper lines. So i am going to redo the lines, junk the old bias valve on the beam and fit a willwood bias valve inside the car with the new lines.
Parts ready to fit
Removing old mc to derust and paint up
And lines removed from under car to rear brakes
This is where i left it as i had to pop out
Will remove the rest in the week and make a start of flaring the new lines

Thanks JP. Would love to but really wouldn't trust the xsi to get me there and back. Need to get this finished and get some road miles up her and iron out any issues.

Cheers Stevie. The oil gauge level in the gti clocks work but not the temp as the engine had a sump change at some point and not got the sensor in it

That would be spot on Alex. If you could dig it out (drop me a pm) could do with an oil change so could be a good excuse to wip the sump off at the same time
