any uprated clutches you would recommend?

Save your money and just buy valeo or LUK.

always best to go for valeo. its OEM and most people use them for uprated engines and have no problems.
half the time its the release bearing thats shat itself

I would get Valeo, it's all i ever fit.
If you can make it down to Sussex i can do it for £190 all in.

Rumour has it they do for around 500-1k miles, then its sorted. Like settling in sort of thing. Ive never had the issue but then again I dont often use LUK, I always use valeo where possible

+1 we only fit LUK at work and never had any problems with them i got one in the vtr and was only 75 quid and as said they make a noise for the first 1k miles its more just a swushing noise.

when aren't bearings noisy tbh? i'd rather it be noisy so that when it changes i know theres a problem

Bet it wasnt funny at the time my clutch was slipping, and bearing squeeling like a fucker, and I think I did about 1200 paranoid miles with it like that

the thing with mine is i KNEW it was on the way out, ordered one and had it booked in for the end of the week, but had to drive about 30 miles to crewe to pick up the missus' brother and sister and take them to a hospital as their dad had been admitted. it died on the way home

Tbh im surprised mine didnt go, Was just being lazy & couldnt be assed to go and get the clutch, then I had a trip to Bedford to do and though meh fook that, ill sort it before I go

i never fit anything other than valeo on saxos, very good clutches for feel and performance, can cope with cammed cars etc

try local motor factors that the trade use, never have any trouble getting Valeo clutches from any round here
