Default 1.1 vtr turbo, manifold overheating and power loss, due to potholes!!!

Ive just tw*tted my exhaust on a series of pot holes, cuming off a building site entrance, its a four branch manifold with a bolt on turbo with a straight through decat pipe with no mid box, i cant see any visual damage but i was loosing power in every gear, and i noticed a small amount of juddering as well,as if it was loosing power and gaining it again, however when i got home i had the bonnet up and steam was streaming off my manifold even though it was heat wrapped,at the top????
Other than that the car starts up fine, theres plenty of oil and water etc, can any one help?

conversion pal, 1.1 - vtr turbo, thought id highlight the point that some parts are still 1.1, just incase it affected anything with my problem

Yep, the down pipe, its 100mm off the ground (lowest part on the car) anyway there was this awful crunching noise i think its shuntered my turbo including four branch upwards, do u reckon my turbos boloxed? or head gasket? i cant see any visual damage other than my exhaust over heating and my engine management light twitching on and off and the juddering?

is the exhaust braced to the gearbox/bottom of engine underneath? if not it sounds like youve cracked/snapped the manifold or down pipe, this is what the brace is for stops the weight of the full system smashingdown on the downipe/manifold when you hit big holes etc

I would want to find the source of the water causing the steam from the top of the manifold

if its heat wrapped and cracked itll be the hot gas burning the wrap/evaporating condensation inside the wrap

Its oil i reckon, the top of the manifold was covered init, and had soaked into the heat wrap, but only on the right hand side, to be honest im favouring towards a possible crack or split, some where, however would this affect, the juddering on low revs? it seemed to have been fine when i booted it? and why did it only occur after i pretty much bottomed out going over a few pot holes?

if you cracked your manifold it you would be looseing pressure so could affect how it runs, maybe a quick vid might help someone to tell you what the problem is

as said pics will help greatly, sounds like a crackd mani, but shouldnt be spitting oil.... if your mani is cracked your turbo wont spool up properly and will serioulsey lose power untill it does,

Oil on the wrap would explain any smoking, have you got any smoke coming from the exhaust

Are all the hoses on correctly? Is it a straight fit or did you have to bypass anything? Have you got a boost controller? IIRC some turbo's come with a solanoid, does it have 1? As blackie mentioned, a cracked manifold may cause serious power loss because you will lose back pressure, its not neccesarily the mani/exhaust system tho, and as above, oil on the heatwrap will cause smoking but should go after a few minutes.
