Was just about to say m12.

How do they fit? Mine required me to drill out the holes in the shell to make the holes line up.

The ones I got (adjustable circle type) don't fit and will require me to make holes and weld a strengthening plate. The triangle tfixed ype fit the mk1 perfectly and I'd assume the mk2 as well. On the pics it shows they have a fixed square type now as well but they never have them in stock or always post out the wrong ones

There is a triangle type that doesnt fit and you need to cut the holes over to make them fit
I had them previously

These must be the ones that i have , they seem to allign only with the oppossing holes and only sit right in the middle not further back so as to gain more castor angle... Might end up attacking them with a drill to get them to fit where i want

bit off topic, but are strut top reinforcing plates needed, or just advised when running solid top mounts??

I would personally as the metal that the suspension bolts to it wafer thin and does bend but it's not exactly needed. Guess it depends more on what your drivings like and what you use the car for

mainly road, yearly track day. not getting yet but once the bakerbm adjustables ones come out i'll most likely get a pair of them.

can they just be bolted in place, or do the need to be welded? if welded, can the car be assembled, driven to a place to get welded, and then welded with all suspension still in place etc?

We are in the process of drawing up and manufacturing solid top mounts with Baker BM. The first prototype should be ready in roughly a week to two weeks. This will be a fixed design first. Then we may be looking at the adjustable..

I'll keep an eye out for these then. Have you got a rough cost in mind?

I agree, especially if you are running higher lbs springs. As theres a lot more force being applied to that think piece of metal than they would have been designed to cope with originally.

As let's face it if we're talking about buying solid mounts you are going to be running a higher poundage spring, AlexB didn't you buckle yours a few years ago?

We wanted to match the compbrake but due to the high quality motorsport bearings we use they will be a bit more expensive. I think we plan to be around £120 for a set.

You would remove the suspension. The heat would probably melt the rubber top mounts and really you would want to rust protect the underside, and paint the top of the strut tower.

Will these be compatible with the standard spring pan setup?

I desperately need to introduce some camber on the front - I'm getting a lot of sidewall wear from track days. There seems to be very limited options available though. The AST top mounts look like a good piece of kit, but the price and lack of adjustability on the car (I've heard you need to drop the strut down to adjust them?) is putting me off. No idea if these will work with the standard spring pans and standard length damper threads either.
