Default Tu3j2 head To tu3m bottom?

Hi!

Is It possible to install TU3J2 (106 Xsi) head To TU3M bottom, with standard tu3m pistons? Or what happens To CR? Would compression be OK, Or do i have To skim head slightly Or buy xsi pistons?

Engine Would be "budget built" with speeduino, gsxr TB etc..

TIA

Default

all tu3 heads will swop
tu3j2 had slightly domed pistons

my guess is you could skim head by at least 1.5mm and have no problems to lift compression depending on what cam you fit --any std cam will be fine
if fitting lumpy cam then do a dry build with old head gasket and modelling clay on one piston -time up cam -turn over 3 times -lift head and you need at least 2mm piston valve clearance-or make small "eye brow cut outs" in piston
