Default 106 Gti catalytic converter MOT challenge

What does everyone do for the MOT if you have a de-cat system ???????????????

I’ve now got my car up and running so I’m nearly ready for the MOT so I’m after advice regarding the emissions testing. I have 2 options as far as I can see!

I have a supersprint manifold with a 2” pugsport stainless de-cat/dummy car system.

1) take it for the MOT and see if it passes the emissions with the above system fitted.

2) try to graft on a standard cat onto the pugsport system just for the MOT then remove post MOT.

What does everyone else do?????

It won’t pass with a decat. Get the cat put back on and then just remove it once it passes.

Mine passed no bother with a cat fitted.

without a cat, it still won't pass on the CO, best I could get mine to was 0.31% CO. which is 0.1% of a fail. Emissions friendly maps don't exist, as Lambda is checked to stop you putting in a car that's running lean. the maximum lambda is 1.03. That's as lean as you can go.
