For Sale Posting Items
Can you not make it a requirement to make the seller post items via recorded delivery or anything so it requires a signature as this then protects both parties.
Also when it has been posted the seller can post the tracking number up to prove it has been dispatched and can then be traced by both parties?
Just a suggestion?

The for sale section is there purely to advertise the item.
At the end of the day it's down to the seller / buyer to cover their own asses.

you can get a reciept from anything you post mate, I always get one for stuff I sell Ive got fookin loads in my wallet lol. Tells you the date sent and where the package was going. Thats enough evidence for me to use against someone who wants to try and fuck me over

I know its not sax-ps problem but surely the mods and admin get loads of problems because of selling items that are not genuine this may just help?

Mods/Admin will ignore most problems with regards to disagreements with for sale items.

If you are that worried best thing to do is to send the item recorded yourself. Doesnt cost much more.

if you want to purchase something and you're too lazy/cheap to get yourself... you instruct the seller to ship it recorded and pay accordingly...
how hard is it to do that?

If someone wants recorded delivery its not hard to pay the extra to the seller to do so.
How do you expect us to enforce a rule of sending it? make sure we deal with the money and post it ourselves as staff??

in fairness people are conned and arguments happen, but its the risk you take selling off the internet.
there are guidlines to a safer sale but if someone decides to ignore it nothing can be done.
no one goes by all the rules.
simple answer. ADVISE people in the sticky to record items. its all saxp can do.
also the post office can give you a simple card which they stamp with the date on. you attatch the buyers address. this is a free service. its not a recorded service but its a proff of dispatch basicly. i try to do it every time so if a dispute comes up i can say i collected not only the reciept but a ticket to prove i have posted the item to the certain name and address
