I did think it must have been either a good driver or good car or both as i thought they were overrated as standard. Must try and find the vid..

Car is no longer with me. Aw tracksport have it. Its gone to have cam timing perfected on his rollers. Hope to get a large gain. As my standard vts is just as quick 50-110mph.
If cam timing wont produce more power or enough power, i have a set of spanking new newmans lifters and will go for some uprated valve springs. Those parts could be worn. Either way i have some missing power and i want it. Have major plans for the car once engine is set up.

Guess it getting mapped at the same time or atleast the map tweaking for the changes?

Yes it has been standard cam timing. Yes will have andy h dial in and map for me whilts its being rolled. Going to see if cam adjustment will give a gain. If nothing can be gained i need to whip head off and fit new valve springs, lifters and re seat valves.

had a chat with AWTracksport today, hes part way through dialing in my cams, said he has a gain so far with cam timing alone but has more work to do, said power was way down to begin with.
cant wait to get some laps in with expected power from my mods.

what kinda times do you think i should be aiming for at cadwell then? off on monday, any tips?

who knows, theres a second in it from driving it as it is without power or mods, possible another second or so with the extra 40hp thats missing.
tips? 1st time, give plenty of respect till you know the track, ive driven it on at least 20 different days/events. i am still learning where and when to be cocky.
new car isnt it? lear that too

cheers dude, hmm i be happy with round 1-50 then a lap.
yer new car to me drove few customers cars with simlare specs though. only track driving i have done befor was in the old noble at silverstone when me and the old man whent on a trackday in that lol, rather different to a saxo though.

was told by my tuner that not required, if the springs was worn he says there will be a missfire at very high revs. there isnt,
basically if it turns out that it wont make the quoted 160 or near enough then heads coming off, reseat valves, new seals, lifters then springs in one go. not doing all that incase does not need it.
its slightly frustrating that only i work on my cars, if the head was to be rebuilt it would be far more easy to just let AW Tracksport do it. costly yes but if i need to bring the car home then thats two cars over to horncastle to collect, and then another two cars back again to drop off for setting up, then i still have to collect the black car once its done.
once done im going to courten miller near boston for a roll there to see if the figures are there on a dyno dynamics roller.

have spoken to AW tracksport today, its looking good but isnt ready to realease the car yet as there is more to be found.
