Both phones are far better than any iphone will be. I've had the 3G, 3GS and 4 and I can happily say by HTC desire HD is far better than any of them and it only costs me £13 a month!
My mums just got the Galaxy S2 on Orange for £20 a month but I think the deal is only for long standing Orange customers. 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data for £20 isn't bad at all, oh and phone was freeee!

I once said I'd never have an iPhone when I had the original HTC HD, but then I did and I don't regret it one bit.
The wife once said she would never have an iPhone and then get one and didn't regret it one bit. She then "upgraded" to a Galaxy and 3 months into the contract paid it off to "downgrade" to the far superior and easier to use iPhone 4

How is the iPhone4 superior?
Might be easier to use though, its like a TV remote control that just has on off, volume and channal button.

Far better interface.
I dislike it when people go on about specs on paper. I keep referring to my TV - a 6 year old Pioneer plasma that on paper is nothing compared to a brand new LG or Matsui, but absolutely pisses over them in terms of quality
