Default What's involved in swapping a mk1 whole interior?

Might start fixing my wife's car up a bit and it could do with a new interior.
Will change all seats door panels etc, anything to particularly look out for that might be an obstacle etc..
Any advice appreciated.

By the way it's a non VTR/S by the way if it matters.

Cheers

If your going from a rear bench seat to a 60/40 split rear seat remember you'll need the extra brackets, just make sure you get them from the donor car. If her cars got manuel windows you might want to think about putting electric ones in. Easy and cheap to do and if you get a vtr/s interior then you'll not need to make holes for the winders.

VTR interior in the for sale section for cheap if your close.

You might want to buy a few new door card clips as some will snap I can guarantee that.

theres a little torx in the handle bit and another. then they all pull off. Best get some spare clips because the chances are, you will snap most of them

Buy a bag of clips as you will break a few, guaranteed. Careful with the pretensioner cables under the seats (unplug the battery first) and that's about it.

Many thanks.
Can you or anyone confirm if a VTR/S interior fits a standard car like my wife's 99T plate SX?

Thanks

if you dont have electric windows and wnat to fit vtr/s/desire door cards then you would need to drill a hole in the right place for the window winder to come through, or if you have plain black cars anyway then just leave them as they are, also the vts door cards will have electric mirror switches

my fave interior is the late vtr (squares and triangles interior) to remove all seats front and rear its only 8 bolts/4 nuts to undo could swap all the seats in ten min
