Steering Wheel Replacement/Front seats rocking under load and braking? Ph2 VTR
My steering wheel has suffered from the age old problem of melting and there is a chunk out of it at the top so I was looking to replace it. Any ideas on a nice replacement aftermarket one? Also, my front seats rock a bit under acceleration and braking, is that common and how do you sort it?

My seats do the same in both my VTRs, not excessive movement but its noticeable. Have always thought is something to do with the tilting of the seat but be good to know if it something else.

if its the seat backs, not much to be done, if its the whole seat, it may the the floor cracking around the bolt holes, will need welding

Just the seat backs on mine... not an issue with one of the VTRs as the seats are being replaced but it not a major problem in the other

Ok cool, seats are firmly attached to the floor as there is no rot in the chassis. What needs to be done to tighten the seat backs then? Muchos

doesn't matter about rot for the seat mounting points to split, cleanest one I've had was the one to split.
nothing really to do to stop them rocking, its wear on the metal on the mechanism that tilts the seat forward to get in the back.
as for wheels, 1007 wheel looks best, whether it fits or not is a different story

Check the for sale section. Yes the wheels a straight fit and the airbag is the same connection so yes again.
I'll bump the ad if you want to look there's some pictures on.
