There is one problem with bike powered minis they struggle to get the power down and even more so on a small track like knockhill Hi hp cars up here often get taken down a peg or two by the budget racers..

Sure it will be an interesting car if you manage to get it built. The minis though are fun even with an R1 engine in so would be worth scaling back the budget with a more realistic engine choice and actually getting the car completed.
ps when you are ready post up some lap times for lotus exiges of similar spec to your dads around castle combe. Am genuinly interested.

Nice one Thats a really good time. Read my post about how I'd make the 205 faster and then perhaps you might reconsider your statement that no FWD car could get close.
The exiges are great cars but saying that they are the best or unbeatable is like pissing in the wind. there is always something faster.

I know that car too. Has the same wide track front end as we are using on our 205.
Looks like a 1.22 time approx. Not bad for an out lap
