Real simple to use dude!
What you need is the Clay, and some sort of Lubricant, simply spray the lubricant onto the car/panel and rub the clay along the paint.
It will remove all the bonded on s**t thats on your paint, that a wash will not get off
I'd reccomend the Megs kit that they do to start you off like

Cheers J2, just read that and now I'm on for buying a clay bar set.
Considering I had a shit load of hard black shit on my lower panels, which must've been tar, took alot of thinners/polishing/etc. to get off lol. Was worried about my paint during removal though.

if you like a clean car, but not to the levels of... well....car detailers the odd tar spot can be removed by rubbing with some AG super resin polish also works for bug splatters. I am sure someone will say this is bad for some reason or another but as i said, if you just want to tidy it up a bit and dont want to spend loads of money and time cleaning your car its fine.
