Default S1 106 converions issue

I’ve got my series 1 106 all done and kind of running... the car starts but won’t idle at all, the car will stay alive if you hold the throttle open a bit but once you let go it dies? I havent got an obd port so can’t scan the car but I’ve changed lambda sensor, map sensor and plugs!

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Sounds to me like the idle control valve is stuck shut.

Does it run normally at any other time?

I’ve never had it running long enough tbh to tell, some say it could be a faulty injector but wouldn’t that make it misfire?

Tempted to give it a blast down the road see what happens maybe?

You've got to check the ICV first, before jumping to any conclusions.

8v? Check the valve clearances.
