Newmans cams or Catcams
Anyone with results on newmans yet?
Can't decide over newmans ph3's or catcams 708's?! any advise??
piper and kent just seem so expensive
getting work started on engine soon so starting to buy the parts over the next few days

im getin mine fitted nxt wednesday and remapped on the friday

email i recieved from catcams said VAT + delivery for vts cams by the way is £351.47, newmans cams is £300 + your delivery not sure about VAT

its the ph3 ones mate, youve just missed out on a group buy that was happening, everybody got there newmans cams for £217 delivered

i want fast road in my 106 gti, what would you guys recommend?? only have minor engine mods at the mo, exhaust, de cat and induction.
will i need a re map or a chip fitting after?? not to sure on it all really and would appreciate some advice!!

right so if i fit a stainless manifold, then cams. then i can take it to be re mapped to those mods??
do i need lifters or anything other than cams?? and were is good to take it for a re map?? (far south as poss!!)

yeah to those mods. just cams mate and cam belt "depends how much you wanna spend tbh", maybe fuel pressure regulator
chipwizards is the place to go, everyone drives miles to go there

Hi Dan. I think Chipwizards is the only place that re-map stock ECUs on the VTS/106, and they are up Leeds way... Here's what you should do I reckon. Contact a place called totalmotorsportsolutions.co.uk. you can buy the cams and manifold off of them, and then they will take your car to Chipwizards, where it will get re-mapped. I think for Catcam 708s, Supersprint manifold, plus installation labour and re-map, (Chipwizards charge them from the total bill) it will set you back around £1300 after VAT. ...So you just give the car to TMS and they do everything for you...
