Never sure how people will take it with it not having standard bumpers and 's' wheels lol

well its going to be a lot less wild compared to how it has been... bar the front bumper is still a bit wild but good
so glad you shortened the thread, every now and again i thought about catching up on the project but i really couldn't be bothered to find out where i left off in the 160 pages lol

have a couple of plans for the rear bumper also Nothing too outrageous though
Most of the old thread was waffle or pics of me building things which I then changed again or never used due to changing my mind!

Need to get going on this..... lol
Bought a couple of shiny bits to get the enthusiasm going again. First up was a custom Intercooler from a member on here. Bit bigger than my old Forge one, but it will make routing boost pipes much more simple as the inlet pipe points straight at the charger outlet, and the i/c outlet points towards the throttle body. So the pipe length is absolutely minimal and there are no sharp turns in the boost circuit at all
In order to get the cooler to fit, my radiator wouldnt fit as it was too high. After a bit of searching, a suitable replacement was found in the form of a full alloy rad for a 205 Gti, which is just low enough to fit under the cooler pipes. Its as thick as my old rad, but longer, so should work just fine.
Rad
I/C
Together
Next step I think will be to get my clutch plate ordered so the box and engine can be mated, and then dumped in the car ready for mocking up boost pipes etc.

Yeah I had it. Seen it months and months ago when it had rad and everything with it, but couldnt afford. Inlet pipe will be 6" long maximum, and outlet to tb will be 12-15", so no pipes for charger to fill. Should be awesome

Nice to have a new thread. Will be good to see this on track soon. On a side note, was that intercooler worked out, as it seems a bit on the large side for the application, considering pressure and volume

Not worked it out no, but came off a 106 running pretty much identicle spec to mine with no issues Plus it seems to look bigger in pics than it actually is. Slighly narrower than my old one, but 1.5 times taller, same thickness. WOuld expect it to be similar sized to the ones GMC supply in their kits
