Default Want to lower my Saxo VTR ... Help needed!

Hi guys,

Not only new to this board, but new to the Saxo world as well. I just purchased 1.6 VTR last weekend, love it, and I want to get it lowered 60mm. I've ordered 60mm PI lowering springs, but the problem i'm having is every company I ring WILL NOT do the job due to the torsion bar at the rear!

Does anyone on here know anyone who can lower my Saxo? I'm based in the West Midlands area.

Thanks,
Rich

Any good garage will do that for u surely, it’s not a hard job it can just be abit annoying if there stuck, once there out tho there easy to slide in and out with some grease on to get them set up level with the front, id try actually going into garages rather than ringing them face to face there less likely to turn away work

They won't do it because they can be a massive pain in the arse!

I'm not sure if this guy is still going but I remember seeing his name mentioned alot in the past, and he's not a million miles away from you.

probably not a hard job for a garage, i have just finished reassembling mine after new bearings and lowered it at the same time, but i had to use a drift and a lump hammer to get the torsion bars out, while they out i cleaned the spines and greased them up with moly grease and they slid back in by hand

Got it done at a garage in the West Midlands in a place called Oldbury. Be warned that many/most garages won't lower Saxos anymore due to the torsion bar at the rear. I had to ring round about 10 before I got a result. Even then it took a bit of persuading.
