Default Rear ARB end plate removal?

Has anyone successfully removed the end plate from the rear ARB? The end without the little plastic plug on it, is it welded on or will it come off if I hammer it ? The end plate is broken and I’m wanting to swap it over if possible.

Thanks

For anyone searching for future reference, i removed the end plate with the ARB in the vice and heating up the end plate, then knocked it off with a hammer and chisel, I noticed when i heated it up some black gooey stuff oozed out of the splines i think maybe they're bonded in place.

Sorted anyway, cheers stevo
