Right i was at FCS as most will prob know but i had a very interesting day basically summed up here


Had a very interesting FCS sunday i'll start from the beginning

5am - Wouldnt start rad was permently on when ignition was on and the temp dial was right up with red light on?

We decided that as the fan was running, collant in the rad and that it must of been a sensor so we set off!

Half way there the temp dial drops to normal and all is ok again

Did track time and went ok for a STANDARD ish VTS! i think

Anyway i followed fmp to GDI afterwards as he was dropping the Clio off there then driving home. As we got near to GDI my power steering went and then a couple of miles later the abs light came on and also handbrake!

Soooooooooooooooooo Alternator was dead we decided to not try and limp it home but loaded onto fmp's trailor

It's now at my folks house for a couple of weeks while i'm on holiday batt and alt are completely dead, although it's almost a brand new batt so hoping it's just the alternator?

Cant really be bothered to fix it tbh and i WONT be taking it to the ring now, but dont worry myself and fmp have hatched a cunning plan!

ANYWAY main purpose of the thread was to see if anyone hads some pics of M1TT from FCS on track or show?

Need convincing to spend yet more money on it! I thought another 1k before FCS would do it but guess not!

Alternators are bastards and are pretty common in saxo's especially if a big sound system has been installed in the car before...Get it fixed and the earth's re-done while your there for under a ton

fmp's wagon (clio) wont be going either but were still coming just in something different

Have ordered alt now but will fix after thr Ring trip as dont really have the time to get it done then see if it actually sorts all the problems and dont really wanna be stuck out there!

Think i might have an idea what the other car is

Definately keep going with it, bodywork is pretty much there so it looks the nuts,
bit more performance to keep you happy and a better setup for track/down time?
