Default Amino Acid Supp's

Anybody take these?

My brother and a mate of mine have just started taking them and i can really understand why, from what I've read you get enough amino acids from the food/general protein supp's you have through out your day?

Surely you'd be better off spending money on a decent weight gainer or creatine when trying to increase strength?

Opinions and reviews...

Cheers, Ryan.

Protein is made up of amino acids. BCAA supps are essentially protein in its simplest form. To make amino acid supplimentation worthwhile though it is only worth using them around your workout, 15g mixed into a workout fuel drink and 25g mixed into a post workout drink would be a moderate dose.

during the day, the only one worth taking is L-leucine. It is the limiting factor of amino acid absorbtion, ie if there isnt L-leucine in a 2-1 ratio of all the other essential amino acids then the others wont be used and proteins will not be absorbed fully. So taking 5-10g of L-Leucine with every meal and shake would and is very beneficial to growth and protein synthesis.
