Installing now - Glad they are nerfing M26 dart, SKS long shot and reducing machine gun recoil.

I did LOL when I read this though :

> Increased the effectiveness of the Aim Assist at close range. Testing in Close Quarters proved our current assist to be inadequate in tight quarters. This is a global change, and will improve the effectiveness of Aim Assist for all modes and maps. Aim Assist over distance is still significantly less effective. This is console only, as Aim Assist is not present on PC.

Can't believe console's have aim assist hahaha!

As well as the update, BF3 "Premium" has come out on ps3 today (guessing xbox will get it at some point aswell?), gives you access to the close quarters maps now, includes all the future map packs, and all this other shiz like priority when queing/weapons. Only problem, it's £40!! I really cant justify spending that amount of money on top of the £40 ive allready paid for the game.

How much do you play BF3 anyway? Ive been playing loads over the last month or so. Will probably work out cheaper to buy the premium pack than each one individually.

£40 is a bit of a beefing tbh. Id get it if I was more flush, as I totally spank BF3 something stupid anyway, but that makes it effectively £80 for a game with quite a lot of maps.

Not online it doesnt, just in the campaign, but you can turn it off, its for kiddys who have fat fingers and cant use the sticks to get a decent head shot

So will future downloads and map packs etc. still be available without going premium? Fail to see the point in premium? Is it just so you get New maps and downloads in advance ?

Yeah there is aim assist in multiplayer it's not that noticeable (It's nothing like the campaign aim assist lol) helped me and my dart out though

Premium for them is a way of getting people to nearly pay for map packs in advance incase you quit or become bored before they release the further map packs. all expansions will still be open to non premium members at a price. It's like £35 (4000ms points) for it premium even cheaper if you bought the MS points elsewhere so all in all not a bad deal with the additional benefits.

You will still save money if you've got back to karkand already
