There has been alot of threads about negative rep lately, and how people are unhappy about them, well if people didnt post rubbish they wouldnt get bad rep which is simple.

But i think its a bit far fetched when a mod is removing rep and letting the user know who left them it isnt it?

Clearly this is the case, i dont know which mod it is and not pointing any fingers, but am pretty sure there should be some rules in place.

Doubt this is the right section? but there isnt a section for this sort of thing.

Unless people are taking a total guess at their bad rep which then means they are abusing the rep system?

Or is the rep system going to be taken out in V4?

that was the whole point of this thread

it wasnt to slate anyone its more of a notice post, ideally should have pm'd simo but created it now.

Like i say people can totally guess but in certain cases where people have not even posted in the same thread where the neg rep was left, so how on earth does that person know who neg repped them. That is my point.

If members didnt post useless shite (spammers especially) then mods wouldnt get the arse with them.

You all whinge about the job which we do as a whole but we give up our time to help keep the forum running smoothly and as much as possible 'shite free'. Some threads get locked because they tend to allways go off on one, when people start talking about immigration the thread goes the same way each time, and so in advance its best to lock before ww10 starts

Which moderator told someone that? I very much doubt that to be honest but if you feel the system has been abused then please pm admin who are the only members of staff who can remove rep. It might be worth adding that when a thread/comment is deleted, any rep you left/recieved in that thread/post is also removed from your profile. This has maybe been the case?

its probably to do with a certain member who was abusing the rep system and so i informed him to grow up and stop doing so.

i agree with deleteing useless posts......

would it not be an idea to get the likes of ryan showing up as mods under their names etc? as they only way to tell currently is by going to the bottom of that section and looking.

we do, they're called admin. Believe me, mods have to justify any moderation which takes place. If admin don't agree with it then they have final say on what happens.
And to go on from what Ryan said, moderators wouldn't have to do so much moderating if there weren't so many retards in the non-tech sections who post pish all day long 24-7...

Itjust gets me annoyed that others are allowed to carry on banterin/ spammin and then others arent, i dont come on this site to look for trouble just to chat in the general chat section or enquires about my car

Lee- anyone who has any problem should always contact a member of staff, as realistically we are the only ones who have the buttons to do anything about it. Pm whichever moderator is online (name is highlighted in red), or better still a member of Admin (name highlighted in Green).
