i dont have money for the sub or mono amp atm either that really
that why i thought it would be good to get my mates amp off him at a low price then just run a sub off that even though its power outputs aint great.
alpine will still be good quality though
what sub would be better to run off that amp then?
as i am a student and have very little money as i have expensive hobbies!

well if you dont want anything special id get the amp off your mate and run this off it:

will the amped comps sound awfull on their own?
i just want better sound soon but quality aswell...

no point buying a sub then think.. actually ill get a better amp
imo, decide on what your buying then buy it over time
or: buy the amp 1st.. this will give you a wider possibility of set up options when it comes to chosing a set up
nope amped comps will not sound awful on their own, for the money i wouldnt reccomend any other combo of comps and amp
unless you set it up like a twat and turn the bass setting all the way up on your HU they will sound great
something else to consider running off the alpine mono is:

it wont play as loud as the SPL but quality will be higher
and imo in low end budget audio, most 12"s are a bit "flappy" so id opt for a 10"
saying that the 12" spl will be good
as said in my previous post, its all about installation, anyone can spend £1000 on equiptment. but it will sound shockingly bad if not set up properly
