ease of use
ease of setting up

lets say 0-5 0 been poor 5 been amazing

via optical cable

its one of these.

you get a true dolby/digital sound.

RCA cables is Analogue. so you get slight interferance latency kinda like a small hum noise in the speakers. optical cable takes that away .

Im running

Philips Ambilight 32 Inch LCD
VSX D2011 7.1 Amp
Vifa Sense Front speakers (to make it 7.1)
Kef 1005.2 System (5 speakers and sub)
I use a Chord HDMI cable
Use the digital optical for the sound

awesome set up ill have to get some pictures up sometime

was originally going to go for a philips or samsung 5.1 but didnt want another dvd player so decided to go seperates plus the speaekrs were tallboy ones, the kefs push out 100 watts each, the vifa push out about 200 if i wanted but amp only powers 7 x 100 iirc, i went on an av mission tbh and spent about a grand if not more on the stuff

Is anyone using hdmi for the sound and not optical, I probably won't be able to hear much difference but the boffs say it's an awesome experience.
