Default Recommend me an SLR please

Im looking into taking some better quality photo's with an SLR camera.

Previously ive just used digital cameras but Im not really happy with the quality they produce.

I dont have much of a budget.... maybe upto around £120.

Obviously I will have to get something 2nd hand for this price.

Can anyone recommend a decent oldish camera that I can pick up for around that price which comes with all the basic equiptment needed to get me started? Or just give me some tips of what I need or what to look out for.

Thanks

that is a very small budget but i'd prob try to get a 10d off ebay, talkphotography etc

it is an old camera but still very capable.

depends....

probably because you're a homo?

£120 budget for a DSLR is VERY hopeful.

You need to consider that you will need a body, lens, memory card etc.

as an example a 20D (about 10 years old i think) will cost £200 for the body on its own. Then a kit lens for about £200 odd i think.

you might be better off looking at a second hand bridge camera instead of an SLR

tom 20D isnt that old it was introduced around the same time as the mkII.

So circa 2004 and the kit lens isnt £200

£120 budget on topic, id put it in the bank and save up to get an SLR and a lens

I recently got a bargain on an Olympus E600, because they're discontinued now, and even then, I still paid almost £400.

And they're not as popular as stuff like Nikons (that I know Ryan, and Viper and all those who actually know about cameras, unlike me, use), which go for not a lot less second hand on ebay.

Wash your mouth out, I roll with canon

A D3s would make me go noink though...

The issue with stuff like olympus etc.. is theyre not common, so they are harder to get stuff for cheap second hand.
