not sure if ive got the same gt5 as you lot. not letting me sit inside my glanza (camera view). the car sounds crap and the graphics look the same as gt4 on a ps2!
so far very dissapointed

You can only sit in certain cars. Think its the ones you can buy from the dealership. So about 200.
The other 800 you can get are just standard cars. These are the ones they havent taken the time to go into as much detail. If they then it would still be in development.
Go on gt4 on the ps2 then come back and play this and tell me the graphics are the same!

Loading times are chronic ,
Why does it struggle to connect to servers ? Sometimes just seems to hang on gt screen
This is not what I was expecting

sounds good but have they removed any missing 'important' or 'cool' features eg, car mods, 0-100 test runs etc

i like it! love how they have gone into more detail when "modding" cars, like now you can change the cat converter, inlet mani, and exhaust mani aswell! havent seen after market brakes though..........

i played gt5 earlier........ some of the graphics are amazing, textures are ps1/2 standard...... handlings mediocre, menu interfaces are shit...... everything else is 'ok'....... game is way worse than whatt it should be.... thank fuck i never bought it.

tbh i think overall its not to bad, i do like it infact... it does run slow but i havent installed the 8gb of tracks and cars as i only have 4gb space left, but i am going to upgrade the hard drive tomorrow so it should cure that. i have played forza and i would say the handling is alot more realistic in that, but i think gt5 is still class.

Handling is much more realistic than forza, the sounds are much better, some track look ok but others look amazing the ring for example is unbelievable. Modding is better, yes you cant change wheels or custom paint etc but this is a driving sim where as forza is not its a racing game.
Overall I think its a good single player game as online seems to need a bit of work to get into a room etc and also cant find the ring?

I'm keeping a close eye on this thread. I'd promised myself a ps3 when GT5 came out (this was 3 years ago mind, but since then got bored and bought an xbox). I'm surprised the feedback for the game is a bit mediocre, given that it's been 5 years in the development.
Could do with your thoughts overall on the game and on specific bits...

it like they done 50% of the game really good. then the other 50% they couldn't be assed and just put it together in 10 mins.

Well im pretty impressed tbh, it does seem they had a mad rush to get it finished but all in all good game
I just need to get to level 12 to start on my international A Licence then i can do the super one
Karting is fricking awesome, Nascar sucks though lol
just need to get used to my wheel now
