the truth is that no one in their right mind would make a bracket for suspension from nylon which by its nature is going to squish when you tighten up a 10mm bolt through it --what they should have done was have a metal spacer inside the bolt holes to allow only so much squish --but a silly idea anyway .
saw one set and never even consdiered fitting them
the vibra tecnics are good -use them all the time .
i used them on my wide track, but with a bolt in the end so i can set them at correctangle when car is on its wheels --so there is no wind up in the bush when car is at its normal ride height --something to bear in mind when fitting them --that is the usual reason for these bushs to fail prematurely ,not just vibra tchnics type ,but all inc std ones
thats why very lowered cars suddenly have bush failure --very wound up after suspension is lowered, even when car is just sat --
i will take at bet that most people tighten the front bolt on the lower arm while the car is in the air --loading up the front bush as well

AwesomeGTi are doing the vibra-technics ones for about £40 each. I only live 20 minutes away so would pick them up, thus saving on postage too.
The spoox ones, I'd have to pay for postage AND they are about £45 each.
My thinking was, if theirs no real difference, i'd get a set of the vibra-technic mounts.
axsaxoman, Your right about the tightening... I did all mine up in the air! would it be advisable to jack the car up, slacken everything off, then drop it down onto a pile of bricks so I can get under it but the suspension is in the normal ride height?
Also, what sort of issues would I have with the fitting?

LOL... you know what I mean though. I'd actually put an axle stand under the ball joint or something to get the suspension sat at the right height but with enough space for my gut to fit under it
If I had a 4 post lift or a pit, I'd use that but i don't yet!

as promised, had them on over a year must of done 2-3,000 road miles and 10-12 trackdays at least.
strip old bushes down
old vs new
and then fitted
id buy them again but be aware, i bought mine direct. i met a sales rep at a show and was given a discount code, the price i was told on the phone was £40 cheaper than what i actually paid once i got my bank statement through!
rang them back and was told theres nothing they can do about it and that i was miss informed.
i also use the vibra ecu side engine mount. i think its a good bit of kit not only more firm than the standard one but the bolt shouldnt snap like the standard ones do.

Well, considering I'm looking at £80 for a pair from AwesomeGTi direct I'd know if they tried to over charge me
Were they hard to fit?

May get them slightly cheaper if James and I order some too? In all seriousness, if someone wants to organise a group buy on these, I'm in.
I understand it's best to press these on at the angle the wishbones are with the car sitting on the wheels. How would you go about doing this?

I guess it's would be a guestimate anyway. Don't think it would make much difference if they are fitted a few degrees out?

when i fitted my pugsport ones i used a spirit level and a tape measure with the car on caravan ramps
get the spirit level packed up on stands under the wisbones level
measure the front bush and as close to the balljoint and mark the point you measured on the wishbone
the difference in these measurements is the important bit so say for example its 15mm higher at the front bush
get the rear bush off the wishbone
and on a bench sit the wishbone ball joint hanging over the edge of the bench so it doesnt interfere pack the point you measured 15mm off the bench and offer the rear bush up
mark both bush and wishbone with a pen and then line these marks up when you press the wishbone on
simple process long explanation lol
