She had her neutering operation on the same day - she was pregnant with around 8/10 pups which is why they did it straight away.
Some may find this harsh, but if you look on the charities facebook site, around 20 pups have been found dumped this week alone!!! So it was in everyones best interest.
Vick did the dates and Pegg was most likely 2 weeks preg when we were on holiday.
She has recovered well and is looking healthy.
The foster home send us regular pictures and video's via youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6bCUlYlO4I
Her foster home have said that she is very well behaved and mannered. She is house proud & prefers to toilet out on walks.
When everyone is off playing, she likes to nab the bed nearest the fire!! She is living with 7 other dogs and 3 cats she doesnt batter an eyelid at the cats.
So, at the weekend we went along to Pets at Home with a 10% off voucher and bought 2x 17kg bags of food and the most luxurious bed we could find. The bed is sentimental as our last dog Bruno had a very similar one which he is buried with (along with a lot of toys).
Though the cat that is not ours seems to have claimed it
All being well, we will be driving to Northampton in 7 weeks to collect her!!!
FOR THOSE THAT DONT UNDERSTAND, THIS IS WHY WE ARE DOING THIS
found in a ditch
found in a church carpark - and still there as not enough room in foster homes
before: Hollie was found curled up on a door mat
Hollie after 2 weeks
this dog may be coming over with Pegg for Vick to find her a home, but subject to room in the transporter.

I think what your doing is absoloutly amazing, rather than throwing fuck knows how much money at a pedigree, when you can rescue a pup that really deserves/needs it good on you, Il be keeping an eye out for updates when you have her home

tbh, this is not cheap. But is half the price of what we were originally quoted.
When you break the figures down we are spending around the same as if we had bought a £200/£300 labrador which was the original plan, vaccinating/chipping/neutering etc. It comes to the same price. Its just when they say the total is X amount its like wow. But we would have spent it anyway, probably more as vets fees are much cheaper out there and a set price. Not more for bigger dogs, etc.
The stray dogs here or dogs in rescue get a chance of life - to find a home. These dogs just die the most cruel way - starvation. Atleast we do it quick, painless(ish) and humanely.

It really is shocking how many stray dogs you see in certain foreign countries. Very sad how the short lives of some dogs are lived! Good on you for going through with all this.

Yeah it's total tights mate. I feed mine on orijen now. It's certified fit for human consumption lol, and although it's expensive it has such a high meat content you hardly need to feed them much of it at all.
Basically, avoid anything with maize if you can, we cant really digest corn and it's a worse affair for dogs. Anything with "meat meal" is pretty low standard too. I know the food can be expensive, but Id rather go without beer or some shit so I can afford good scran for my mutt

So you really make these decisions with money in mind? You are totally missing the point.
A big thumbs up from me.

You could also say that why import a dog when their is loads of dogs over here that need a home, but I can see why you are doing it if you have formed a bond with the dog.

I would rather import a car than a dog.
Think of all the poor jap spec cars out there that need a good home!

he's already mentioned how bad the conditions for stray dogs are out there atleast there's plenty of dog shelters etc in this country.
And the main thing is he wants THAT dog, not just a dog. He obviously really liked her.
