I may have read straight past the reason but why the R888s over Yokos? EDIT: Just read why lol should have bought two sets!

Also where are you getting your wheels refurbed? Doing it yourself or paying elsewhere? I dropped my car off last night at the wheel specialists on the industrial estate behind showcase cinema near the QMC. Doing a good job and a reasonable price with very quick turnaround. All powder coated and having the Honda Premium Pearl sprayed on too. Along with fitting the tyres for me. Might be worth asking there, they have discount during feb too!

Pick mine up on Tuesday when I come back from spain so shall see the results then

I bought the yoko as they were on the group buy for peanuts, considered keeping them but no use to me at present so sold them for a profit. (I tried to buy 12 lol, but they limited it to 4 per person so more people could benefit.)

I have the ability for free sets of toyos for a job I did so i'll get the r888's as my track set.

The wheels are getting powdercoated and I have a quote of £250 at total wheel works in nottingham as a friend had his wheels done and there bang on. Have to let me know how you get on as the place you have gone is more of an ideal location.

Hoping to win these... 2 hours left! And then I can refurb my tme wheels with no hassle.

It's not too far from the greyhound racing stadium, near A-Plant on that little industrial estate if you know it? Just outside the city centre, nice set-up to.

How much is your refurb if you don't mind me asking?

The lad I sold my Yoko's to asked if I could get anymore, he would of had 2 sets off me alone, gutted i couldn't buy more and it was limited.

Might direct some random porn movie in which you can feature for a nominal amount, unfortunately Dave will be providing an obese pie eating female for the shoot....

Going for a niche market!!

Yeh I know where you mean, Lady Bay area isnt it opposite virgin Media, I set my satnav to that place by accident lol

Mines £332 which includes:

Tyres removed, wheels stripped down and acid dipped, powder coated, baked and my colour put on etc, tyres put on and balanced then fitted to my car. They do some high end cars there and read alot of good reviews so was happy with there. Would be £290ish if i didnt want my own colour.

Yes that's the one mate, Mine is for the same as you mentioned, tyres off balanced etc. but I don't think they have the acid dipping as part of the prep. Just bead blasted or whatever they do, seen their work first hand and it's really good though so I'm happy with that. Yours Seems a good price including the acid dip!

Picking up the wheels i won on ebay tommorow, along with the 4 new toyo's from the garage and then dropping them off to be powdercoated next week...

Decision needs to be made.....

- Gloss white with slight pearlescent in it as per original tme wheels..

OR

Matte White

As I have 2 x sets of wheels now the TME wheels will be staying white and the other set will be my dark set. So just a matter of deciding on shade... which I'm not sure of.

I'm thinking gloss as when it's clean it should look really fresh but matte seems to be the 'in' finish...

Picked up the wheels today, wow the guy had some serious money lol.

There better than I imagined and have been freshly refurbed, no kerb marks just light marks where wheel nuts have been removed and replaced.

Also picked up 4 x Toyo R1R tyres so will be sending them and
My tommi maks to be refurbed and fitted.

Not sure whether to keep these then for spare or sell.

Also managed to pick this up today, a last minute purchase I'll fit tommorow.

It's a custom made bigger bore sas pipework, will make for even bigger pop, bangs and flames, and looks a bit prettier than the standard pipework.

15min jon to change so hopefully do this tommorow.

Evo 8 MR wheels fitted today, looks pretty mean in black but I prefer the white wheel look personally so will be getting the tommi mak wheels powdercoated white I think.

Works quickshifter, raisers and ams gearknob arrived today... feels a really nice, quality weight. Will get this fitted along with the sas pipework on Saturday.

Anthracite wheels Matthew, not white...

Or shadow/black chrome, like I'm going for on the 3Fiddy.

Anthracite is overdone now imo, and looks pretty bland on the sat silver evo 6 from what i've seen. Needs to be something darker than anthracite but not gloss black... been looking at that shadowblack colour actually but not seen it in the flesh... looks good as you can see the wheel detail unlike on gloss black for instance.

Nice choice!! will look good on the 350
