Once you've de-wipered the back, what do you do with the sprayer jet above the window? Would you just block it off ?

For your info lads, base model pug 106s, the really old square 1.1s and diesels, came without a rear wiper. Instead they have a black plug with a clever plastic screw on the back.
Was down a scrappy near mine, lifted the boot and pocketed it, job done! Perfect fit and no need to seal it etc. as it had a rubber gasket on it for when you screw it together.
So next time anyones at the scrappy keep your eyes open

I know this should be an easy mod but I'm somehow still having trouble. I can't remove the boot panel because the head of the torx screws are damaged and won't hold the screw driver. Would you recommend just sawing it off instead of undoing the nut etc?

Great guide used it today but instead of pug parts just used grommit from boot as temporary measure.

So, after doing this, how often do you need to apply rain repellant to the rear window?

I would NOT recommend doing it then. Safety first.

874544- Screw/nut
* Please note that these parts are becoming harder to find, there are alternatives like rubber grommets which are available from halfords, just ask for the pack of 19mm, 22mm and 24mm grommits, there about £1.49 and will do the job just as good *
2) Disconnect Battery.
3) Open the boot and remove the boot panel, its held in by 3 torx screws, 1 on either side and 1 in the handle.
4) Close boot, on mk2s lift up the cover to reveal the nut that secures the wiper to the motor, undo the nut, if the wiper arm doesn't come off and seems stuck spray on some WD40 and leave it to loosen it up, if it still doesn't come off buy a puller from halfords (use it and then take it back lol) if that doesn't work just hacksaw it off closest to the spindle as you can being careful not to slip and damage paintwork.
5) Pull off the little washer, and open the boot again disconnect the wiring plug from motor and tape it up with some insulation tape, undo the two bolts holding the motor in and take out the motor, put the nuts back on the bolts so you dont lose them.
6) Now take the peugeot parts and put the washer and plug on the outside and secure with the screw/nut on the inside, put the boot panel back on and connect the battery back up and thats it
Sorry i haven't got any progress pictures but heres the finished article
