Would you recommend going supercharged and did u install the set up yourself.

Yes i would reccomend s/c. You want gmc motorsport for your charger, kit etc...

As above, if you want a sexy supercharger :-) have a word with John @ gmc
How did you find fitting the walbro?
Was a right pain when I did mine.

few slight changes....
revised intake pipe from intercooler to inlet.
fitted...
the wheel bearing went last Saturday so I thought id better get that sorted...
rather than replace the bearing with a new one I used a good spare vtr strut, drilled and tapped for a abs sensor...
peg is never too far from where I am at home (I rescued her from Greece, found her as a stray on the beach)
removing the threaded part of the coilover (GAZ)
refitting the threaded part to the new strut required the spring pan removing and the bumps grinding down (but not too much!)
FAO john I have also fitted the new thermostat

hope there is enough flex in the new inlet pipe --so you don,t pull the intercooler neck off or pull it off the t/body --thats why i use so much samco

yes its quite flexible in all directions. I do see what your saying, engine movement vs a fixed intercooler

indeed. its possible its been gone since then. I have not noticed any rumbling but I have been saying its a handful under full boost.
I need to get the tracking reset...

Suprised i haven't commented on this yet, really like the car and what you have done! Was wondering what the maintance is like with a supercharger compared to bodies and the differences on track? Next year i'm going to have to make the decision of going 185bhp+ na or charged. No better then asking someone with a first hands experiance

thanks for the compliment.
maintenance not a lot really... I change oil after every trackday, check all fluids just the same as before with the old engine.
if you can afford to charge the engine do it. you will not get anywhere near the same torque with n/a. its a completely different car to drive. I have owned quick turbo cars in the past but at this level its pretty special. every drive is a real treat! even its previous 220atw was really good package.
if you can blag a passenger ride (road or track) in one you will be sold right away.
john @ GMC is brilliant for technical advice. I would recommend him highly. a definite no bullshit approach. he also sells various chargers, kits + all the bits you need even if you go n/a. I would also recommend a predator ecu from andy Hammond. I have used mine for bodies and then boost.

ok thanks, my car already has an omex600, jenveys, ph3s etc so if i go ph4s headwork etc ill leave the ecu be. Ok good to know maintance etc is still the same, have had a few phone calls with john and he does know his stuff! Think with a decent clutch kit labour etc im looking at £6k But obviously i can sell my current set up so its not as a dramtic increase. When and where are your next track days?

its ok having this and that ecu but what I like best about the Predator ecu is andy will dial in and check your map, data logs or adjust if you treat him kindly... I don't think anyone else will do that. this means if you want a boost increase or change exhaust or anything else it can be adjusted without handing your car over to a garage.
andy is happy to do so for me. you would have to speak to him about these services as I cannot promise them to you.
regarding 6k build it depends what you can do yourself and what power level it wants to be...
I too sold my bodies, cams, 330cc injectors, billet flywheel, alloy pully kit, saxsport and that saved me £2,000...

oh and I want a pound for every one who asks when my next trackday is lol.
I have done one this year and said no more as I have been building at home, working on the car a hell of a lot and I have to work more hours at work now too...
I will hope to do a few before summers over but I have none planned.
more work to do on the car yet.

Today is the first time ive driven the car since changing the leg. Now abs and rev dial have packed in.
Abs sensor is connected on the side ive worked on and all sensors appear to be reading ok. All fuses are ok in car and engine bay :/

Most people do away with abs anyway Stew, any specific reason you want to keep it?

There is a wiring problem somewhere, so I want to fix it first before removal rather than bodge.
Any ideas on why rev dial has died?
