I dont eat massively as i put weight on easily but do eat a fair amount i suppose..
And no think im competeting when that show is on.
@Chez99, youll get there lad, youre the lighest weight category in powerlifting and with work you can pull big numbers.. iirc the british record bench for your weight is around 115kg raw.

Is the record really that low weight? I was pushing 110kg @ 67kg when i was training and thought i was doing rubbish! Sure iv got a pic somewhere, was either a pic of a 200kg deadlift or my bench.

In powerlifting you have to pause bench, which if you dont know is down to your chest hold until they say (usally 2 seconds) and press.. i know the best 68kg lifter in the country and he reckons pausing takes nearly 20kg off his lift.
Suited hes benched 155kg.

Pausing at the bottom on chest is how i benched anyway, maybe for 1second ish though(not through choice, thats just how i lifted). But i can see what you were saying about holding out at the bottom possibly losing kg's able to push.
I would have smashed 115kg by now if i had stayed at the weight i was but stopped training 2yrs ago . My training partner at the time has progressed loads since. He's been training with Mark Felix for a couple of years now and think hes going for Britains strongest this year(maybe next im unsure).

Competed in the GBPF open regional championships today, weighed in at 94.1kg
My lifts,
Squat, 230,235,240
... Bench, 150,160,165
Deadlift, 250, failed 255 twice
Not a bad day it gave me a new comp total of 655.. Good enough to also earn me the title of "south west champion"

That's pretty fucking impressive tbf. You always have some mincers standing in the background of your videos, do they actually do anything lol
What's your longterm future goals? Worlds Strongest Man competing ? Or is Strongman different to Powerlifting ?

You can't all lift the bar at once
I want to be the best 100kg powerlifter to date.. I'll be going to the world championships in October where I aim to win.
Strongman is completely different.

No IPF isn't drug tested, I compete in GBPF and bdfpa (wdfpa for worlds)
I'm no.2 in Britain for bdfpa and south west champion for GBPF.
One of the local coaches who organises all south counties comps is trying to get me to compete in the IPF as it is regarded as the "top powerlifting group" but IMO what's the point when it won't be on a level playing field and I refuse to use juice.

Probably because you would receive greater recognition, prize money and sponsors etc with the IPF as it's the top.
Just like in bodybuilding, no one has a clue who the world natural bodybuilding champion(s) is/were. Yet most gym goers have heard of the Olympia winners e.g. Coleman, Cutler, Yates etc.
It's just cunts law, natural trainers get less appreciation than users. Can't take anything away from the users at the top of their game though, they are still top athletes. Maybe your opinion will change as you get older
