well it would do a bit more than the open air filters like the k & n filters wouldn't it?

Surely you wouldnt notice on a 1.1, probably wouldnt be worth spending all that money on one unless you can get one cheap.

you could transfer it to another vehicle at a later date though.

For a road car certainly would be more suitable as there wouldn't be as much heat soak when stationary
