for checking/erasing fault codes
which is a good system but still fairly cheap??

can u link me to the one you,ve got?

does it say the code on the handheld screen ???
so u can find out what the fault is?

can it remove codes? eml light and abs lights etc?

it's not a handheld code reader bud, it's a usb to rs32 converter that you plug into your laptop/pc then you use whatever software you want to remove mil, abs etc etc

Just search elm327 obd2 into ebay and you'll get loads of results, all do the same thing tho

get a 327 mate, 323 is only for a certain protocol.. i think CAN something... 327 is more universal and should work perfect

323 or 327 will be fine with a 3 plug car.

Anyone used elm327 on a 3 plug vts? i have elm327 1.4 version from ebay and 2001 3 plug vts,can read and erase faults,but from engine sensors only thing that works is RPM gauge i tried all softwares Pcmscan,scanmasterELM,proscan... and nothing

That's all you can do to Saxos with OBD1/ 2.

Need the proper Pug/ Cit daignostic geaer for airbag, ABS faults etc.

I thought you can read some other sensors,like inlet air temp,pressure,water temp and stuff like that,tnx for info
