Default Couple questions Saxo VTS 1.6 99

i am a proud owner of a Saxo VTS 1.6 from 99. love the how the car handles. i think mine is lowered and has stiffer suspension. takes cornes as a boss without any wheelspin. but i have some questions.

lots of play in gearshift:
in gear i have lots of play like shown in this video i made.
https://youtu.be/1a9gJPQC-Ss

gear knob:
i want to change my gear knob + gear cover. i like the solid covers like peugeot has like shown

my gear shift rod has the tip like the one showed on the right

Is the rod threaded or is it just a cross hatch steel pattern? If it's a thread it will be a m10 thread if it's just metal then you would need to replace with one from a scrap yard or breakers.

i dont know but i think it is not threaded. it was hard to get the knob off. i needed to pull it off instead of screwing it off.
