Music editing software?
Can anyone tell me what software is commercially available that will allow me to rip a track to pieces and lay over bits of other tracks, stretch, delay etc?
I basically want to get into the "mash-up" style remixing, so layering bits of tracks over other tracks that, for example have had the vocals removed.
I also want something that I can place markers on tracks to make a new track which starts part way into the track so I can butcher my own ring tones
Cheers

you should have just pm'd me dude i am a proper producer remember lmao.
as i have stated to kirkster be careful with doing mashups/bootlegs for you can get sued for it as your manipulating the copyrights of two tracks without the artists or the record labels permission.so do them for personal usage for you aint gonna get them put on white labels forget that idea already.

You mean like my CDJ1000II's and DJM500???
I want to be able to cut tracks up, remove vocals and lay fresh vocals over. Can't do that with my DJ system

Used to have 500s's but when the 1000s came out I got a great deal from the Pioneer rep I dealt with at the time!
Can do all kinds of mash up's on the fly but I'm wanting to do something a little different with some software!
