Number plate search. - Saxperience

I keep seeing lots and lots of saxo's about with saxp stickers but the chance of them seeing a 'you've been spotted' thread is pretty slim

So I was thinking we could have a option where you could enter your number plate then when ever you see a saxper you just pop
the number plate in the search bar, and you now know who it is!

Good idea or not?

I quite like this idea, not sure why people are so worried about their plates being shown. They're on view for the world to see pretty much all the time anyway.

i was about to say that
if somebody wants to clone it then they will nothing you can do to stop it as your plates are on the front and back of your car
you dont cover them up as you drive around do you

I definatly wouldnt want my number plate on the internet.

Wouldnt take much for people to link facebook accounts, forum accounts and then find out where you live and your mates etc. Better safe tha sorry and keep it all hidden

i agree with this, but at the same time, its always on show and most people dont bother hiding their number plate on here as it is. i like the idea and wouldnt mind seeing it as a forum feature.

Ive had it happen in the past.

And apart from that, just linking things together.. Its a proven way to find scammers address on this forum.

I see what you are getting at, but if your saying you wouldn't want your number plate shown on this website then no afence, why has your profile pic have your number plate in it. Just a idea of trying to find out who's who.

It aint my car, I had it there ages ago lol, was looking at one identical to it. Need to change it actually.

Would be a good idea for people that want to do it, I personally wouldnt participate though

Difference is if you see a number plate on a car driving past you, you know nothing about the car or its owner.

If someone sees a plate but still know nothing of the owner, they can go on here and a quick browse through past posts of the cars owner can tell someone a lot about both the car and owner. Its amazing what info you can get on the driver of the car on the interweb, all through a numberplate.

it not just about that though ppl

ppl clone cars be seeing yes a black mk2 saxo vtr has reg plate ******* new set of plates and then they can rob/steal drive about a car with no insurance etc, get caught speeding and so forth, by seeing that care has that plate, they dont know a car looks like this if they dont see it, if you plaster it on the internet they dont even have to get out their chairs do they?

just copy you car and drive about in a car with possibley not mot tax or ins, doesnt flag up or anyting as you pay yours
