Sump, Baffle and temp sensor
The never ending quest...
I'm leaning towards having the oil temp sensor in the sump so I can avoid having loads of sandwich plates.
I was thinking of getting a Mk1 sump that has the sensor hole on the back but as I've got a baffle not sure if the sensor will get any readings due to it's location?

You should find that the baffle will hold oil where it needs to be and give good temp readings
As the sensor is in the deepest part of the sump where the baffle directs oil to

mine works fine, its a TIM oil temperature gauge, mounted in place of the citroen one in the sump, no fluctuations even round really long fast corners...

Do you have a baffle?
My concern was the sensor hole being on the other side of the pan to the pump so it might not always be in oil with the baffle.
