Digital media is deemed to be alot less 'warm' sounding as vinyl. Alot more harsh with mid tones.

Was just saying people will have the own opinion on what is best to use. Don't get me wrong i do most of my stuff running of my laptop mostly because of the space it takes up and all my music is already on my comp ect

Go on forums such as trance.nu and anjunabeats and you will see yes they can.
Most decent venues with decent systems and good music people dont go there to get drunk

correct. i dont think ive ever been drunk when going to an event in london, i drink yes, but im in my element with 6 - 9 hours of my favourite DJ's
you can tell the difference a lot, especially in mixing if you go to a club with a few random local DJ's, then one or 2 big names, the quality really steps up and you realise why theyre in high demand to DJ everywhere.
one of the quality problems is with MP3's, they only run at 320kbps maximum, where as if you buy an off the shelf CD, it's recorded as standard at 1144kbps. although this doesnt take into account the sound of vynil, which is as said "warmer"

Is there no other music formats on PC that are higher Kbps than MP3? WAV?

some of the promos I get sent can also be WAV files, the FTP for a label can have each track downloadable via WAV or MP3.
and no im not giving out passwords.

I use CDJs myself, but i mess around with my laptop a fair bit and its just so much more powerful, would love a mixture of the two
Been looking around and it seems WAV has a lower bit rate
Why is MP3 capped at 320kbps though?

WAV files are pretty much what standard CD's are recorded as. 1144kbps
the dissadvantage is tracks become a LOT bigger in file size, so it's often unconvenient
hence the reason CD's are only 80mins of music, yet 700mb of space

WAV files will have greater quality providing theyre playing at a high rate
when you rip a CD to your pc, the pc automatically lowers the rate by a LOT, down to 320kbps at the max.
files exported in to WAV straight from the "printing press" so to speak, come out in massive files, ive made tracks and when exported they come out at 40,000kb's in file size for a 3 min track.

we have more 2000s in now.
They look wicked with the lights on the 'turntable' wheel.

DJ bailey (metalheadz / 1xtra) said "the 2000 is the best bit of technology to hit the DJ scene, it simply blows everything else away"
he's been DJing for many many years, so it's a pretty trustworthy opinion lol.
how was eddie last night ry?
