m11ler's Posi VTR. Bride fitted.
Well as some of you may know, i've taken a deposit for the mango beaut, and picked myself up a tidy vtr!
Bit of info about it,
57,000 miles
2 previous owners, one of which was a lady, for long term. lol
Full service history
Completely standard
Posi Blue
12 months mot and 6 months tax
Don't think i did too bad for £1200!
Finally got round to taking some quick pics, nothing too interesting as of yet tbh.
Not alot being done as of now, need to pay off some debts first, then after my renewal in June, the bigger mods can commence!
So far all i've done is swapped over headunits from the mango, and swapped over the flat wiper blades.
Being done this week-
De-wiper
Fitting my omp steering wheel
Fitting the 106 gti cloths from the mango, and putting the vtr interior in that for the new owner.
Also fitting my black abc pillars.
Also getting my mate to give it a proper mot style check over, and service it.
Plans-
Replace the crappy bits such as aerial, petrol cap and washer jets.
Gaz coilovers
Re-fit my kamracing/supersprint exhaust
4 branch manifold
Upgraded discs, pads and fluid with braided lines
Pro race 1.2's or vts wheels in white or yellow with some sticky rubber
Buckets, harnesses and light strippage
Dashboard and various bits fully flocked
Quickshift with upgraded linkages
Clean up the engine bay, new covers etc.
/Essay over.. project should start to get interesting around summer time, so keep an eye out!

I wonder if those petrol caps were a optional extra?
Plans sound good too. Try the backbox on its own and tell me if its loud on yours.

Yepp they were! Back when citroen thought it was cool to have 'Sports petrol cap' as an optional extra.
And i'll be fitting the kam racing bb along with the s/s centre, so will probably sound a bit different to yours. Not going to be fitting it until its lowered though as i just think it'll be wierd haha.

When i claen my bay i do:
Jetwash (optional alot of people wont do it)
Any areas of heavy oil grime i use brake cleaner to get rid of
Go over everything with a mitt in engine gunk degreaser
Then wash everything with shampoo
Let it all dry then go over plastics with autoglym bumper care
Edit: there is a few guides in the detailing section iirc

Awesome, cheers mate. I don't have an outside tap at the moment to connect the jet washer up too, so i'll pass on that part.
So its okay to give it a good soaking in water? As thats something i've always been a bit weary about..
