Had a new pair of plates made, 3/4 height front plate so its sits in the recess and standard size arse end, fitted a new washer blank t'other day too.

Yeah the 3/4 plates really suit the clio's front recess. I've got a slightly shorter rear one on mine too, only very slightly, very subtle and only a few people ever notice.

Im pretty sure they are, But because they look so OEM, its really hard to notice unless your parked close to another car, then it might be noticable, but just to look out, they "Fit" the front of the car nicer and wouldnt bat an eye lid!
Cant wait to get my clio

Almighty thread bump.
I killed it. went from 3rd to 2nd at high revs, suspected crank pulley has turned, knocked the timing out and valves have met pistons.
So I've bought a shitty VTR as a runabout for now, an engine has been purchased for the cup which is gonna go down to Diamond in about a week for the new engine fitting, new clutch, an MOT and some other little bits and bobs.
Engine is a bit special too, been fitted with 197 cams and made 200bhp with an RS2 inlet, should be looking at 185ish when its mapped on the standard inlet.
I really really want it back, got a full tank of v-power in it too.
That's all for now, I'll sling some pictures up when I can be arsed.
