If its got the same chassis plug on it then it should work as the pins are all in the same place regardless of engine size.

tom

im changing my project from a mk1 vts to a mk2 vts (3 plug), the turbo engine i have is from a gti (single plug). i have the omex loom from a gti (single plug) and also a interior loom from a gti, granted not from the same car lol

you recon the gti interior loom with work with the mk2 vts dials? i know i lose the function of the water temp gauge due to the omex not being compatible for that.

do you think swapping the interior loom over for the gti one will be the best bet, or just splicing over from the mk2 vts loom into the 106 gti omex harness. that harness has been tried and tested in dannygti's car.

removing the interior loom wont be any hassle as its all coming out anyways.

im just trying to look at the options, i was thinking of getting sandy to make one up, i know his work is top notch and worth it, big outlay when i already have the omex harness but in its single plug form.

Can someone please confirm this for me, I have a 1.1 desire 2001 modle it's a 3pug ecu and what I suspect to be a big plug with the later layout pins I want to put a vts/gti engine in there will my loom plug into the engine and ECU or will I need a engine loom from a vts ? If I do need a loom what years will fit my interior loom plug as I don't want to splice my loom.

Thanks Kieren

Sorry to bump but i'm converting my s1 1.0 106 to 1.6 8v using engine, loom and interior loom out of my Mk1 VTR and i've noticed how different the s1 106 rear bulb holder plugs are to the saxo ones. (s1 is like a little black square.. Looks like there's less wiring and the Saxo one is obviously the long rectangular brownish plug).

Anyone know how to wire them up or if theres anything i can do? Is it possible to use s2 106 rear bulb holders? Did a VTR conversion to my mates s2 1.1 and we wired the rear lights/bulb holder plugs pretty easily as the S2 106 and Saxo bulb holder wiring looks very similar to start with so the S1 wiring as confused me a little lol!

Please help, thanks in advance

If your putting a Saxo loom into a 106 you will need to splice on a few things like the rear light clusters and other things.

I'll see if I can dig out the interior loom diagram for the lights.

Sorry to bring this up again, Tom could you please confirm this for me

I recently dropped a VTS lump in my 1.1 2001 106 now I was wondering as my plugs off the 1.1 loom fit the chassis plug would a 1.6vts 3 plug ecu work fine on the loom? are all the pins the same? If so I'm thinking about splicing my 1.1 loom and changing sensors on the VTS engine to make it work (I think I should only need to change the coil pack plug from off the top of my head.

Does that make sense to you and could you see it working? Thanks in advance, Reece

First of all, hello!
I'm a polish mecanic.
Owner of a 106 1.4, hopefully 1.6 8v 120HP this weekend
BUT! it all depend to You guys
Its a '99 106 with 1.4 8v 3-row, 1-plug ECU.
Now i bought 1.6 8v (from 106) with 2-row, 1-plug PeugeotSport ECU.
Is the loom p&p?
Small, single multi-plug.
I also have full interior loom with the engine, but I've already done VTS dials conversion, plus I would like to spare myself the problem of changeing the loom.
Where is the difference on multiplug?
I have no spark, and no fuel. Seller said that this sport ECU doesn't have immo.
There is no 12v on the coil.
There are 4 12v on the ECU plug.
The fuel pump didn't work on 1.4, due to multi-relay under the ECU. (hardwired thru cable, same done with 1.6)
The engine came with the ECU loom, ECU (both on the engine, plugged), interior loom.
Help?
I'm fighting it for a week now
I want my 120 horseys *blows nose*

Hey guys. I've a 95 Xsi shell. I converted her to 16v using a 97 donor car. I loomed the whole car with the Gti loom. Now I'm turboing it and wondering if I can get a later 3 plug ecu and engine loom spliced to fit the 97 2 plug git loom. Reason for this is local guy an map the 3 plug ecu for me but cannot map the single plug. Also can I run obd diagnostics on this with a converter to change the interior lexia type connector to obd2. Or do I need to get interior loom aswell.
