Default Ventilation

Hello. I recently acquire a saxo. Its been off the road for maybe 1.5 years.
The air from the ventilation smells terrible.
I am taking it to get it serviced, which entails also changing the cabin filter.
Is there a way to disinfect the ventilation system?

There is no cabin filter.

The air intake for the air box has a plastic mesh on it, it gets clogged with dirt and leaves. It's below the windscreen on the right hand side. Open the bonnet and you'll see it.

If you have a RHD model, you will need to remove the plastic shroud which goes around the wipers to get to it.
