Default How do i shorten a music file and get it onto powerpoint

Alright people can someone help me please?, i have to shorten a music file and put it on powerpoint, anyone on here that can help me with this? Many thanks

audacity will enable you to shorten it down, can probably get it into powerpoint once you've done that.

Download this and install, allows you cut down (shorten) tracks, and can export to mp3, with the correct codec.

www.audacity.sourceforge.net

You should then be able to insert the audio file in Powerpoint, believe its under "Insert" (Where you insert pictures/images etc"

Keeps saying... Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

what version wmp you using? try downloading k-lite codec pack.
