Basically the only two you need to worry about are the Elite and the Arcade. The difference between the two are that the Elite includes a 120Gb hard drive where as the Arcade only includes 256mb of memory.
If you are going to get one get an Elite I got one from the Mrs for xmas and its great!
Just to add that all other models are older versions which are now almost non existant

ahh right ok. I read online that aslong as it has a harddrive it will play original xbox games. Is this true? I've seen a premium on ebay. £130.00 including postage and 5 games with it. I believe its 20gb hard drive too. So i might go for that one, as i think the elite is a bit too expensive for me at the moment.

not all xbox originals can be played on the 360
post the eBay link and il check it for you.
just be wary, that if it breaks you'll have to pay to get it repaired (unless its still under warranty)

both look fine to me.
there's a list somewhere on xbox.com with all the original games that will play on the 360
if you have an HD TV, invest in a HDMI cable, it makes so much more difference.

i believe that could be the link im looking for. Like it says, aslong as you have a hard drive attached to the system, you should be able to play original games on it.

Whats up with the Xbox premium 60gb console? Good compromise between the arcade and elite imo.

Might aswell save for a new one, then you are covered by warranty and don't have some nob on ebay try and rip you off.
It happens. Elite is the way to aswell, on HDTV if possible.

IMO stay WELL CLEAR of ones of eBay etc. Unless they are proven to be 100% brand new.

I wouldn't touch eBay. For all you know you get it across and it is fucked. Even then it could be covered by warranty but imo save for new, and go elite. Much, much better.

Steer well clear of Ebay.
There is no premium console anymore it's out dated and uses old operating systems.
The 3 current consoles are:
Arcade 256mb meory unit (built in) £130
Xbox 360 20 gig hard drive about £160
Elite 120 gig hard drive aout £200
If you plan to play casually online you only need the middle one, if your abit hardcore and will get any dlc available etc then you want the elit, if you'll only play off line then the arcade will do.
Alternatively there is a rumour that to help launch project natal Xbox are releasing the 360 ultimate.
Specs include:
360 Gig Hard drive
HD-DVD and Blue ray player built in
1440p Upscale technology
New upgraded graphics card
liqud cooled.
And project NATAL as standard.
All sounds abit to good to be true the ultimate but you never know.
