Default heat sheild exhaust.. mirror cover

hey i took my heat sheilds all off around my exhaust yesterday and they do actually hide little bits i just wandered if it will ruin my car and should i put them back on because my exhaust was knocking against it slightly but it doesnt seem to have made much difference... ? and does anyone know where i can get a silver mirror cover for a silver gti ? thanks !!

You can try e-bay for the mirror cover, www.frenchsportsclub.com or a 106 owners club might have some for sale.

Exhaust, im not sure, i would have thought it would be fine but im not to sure tbh

they might just of needed tightening up instead of taking off, they are they for a reason
