Default Angard staffing!

anyone dealt with them?

Think they mainly deal with recruiting for royal mail jobs.

Anyway, was told I was starting work today at sorting office, I turn up at 5am to be told my names not on the list!! 50 turned up, 25 of us got turned away, its ridiculous!

Royal mail have been trying to phone them for days, no answer! sounds promising

rant over

Not heard of them, buddy, but I guess Royal Mail are recruiting for temp posts at this time of year, and will no doubt have SH*T loads of applicants.

I tried to get in with them last year, they had a stupidly long application on their website, and I got nowhere with them. Give 'em a miss, I would say.

Good luck with the job search tho.

Something strangely appealing at being a postman, but then in the winter I can imagine it being the worst

Haha I was dealing with these over summer for some extra work. All was good, did a phone interview and a face to face interview at the Chester depot. Didn't hear anything after that for weeks and weeks (I know they do security checks but it doesn't take 2 months)! In the end I got some extra work elsewhere, they then rang me 3 months after my interview saying 'are you good to start on Monday'? They seemed a bit offended when I said I had work elsewhere now - I'm sure these people think your on hold for your life!

Oh if you can, try and get a job with the Royal Mail itself. I'm sure you only get min wage as a temp with Angard however my brother was a temp but actually employed by Royal Mail themselves and was on £8.90 something. Plus you get overtime etc meaning your sometimes on £22 an hour (when you've finished your round early then go onto time + a half overtime).

Can rack up a fair few quid I tell you!

last year i worked as a temp for royal mail on the night shift, and really raked in the money. This year they've used angard to sort everything out. Been phoning all day, no one answers the phone and when they do they just put phone down!

been on the royal mail forums and its full of problems with angard, people all over the country have turned up for work and been turned away! its shocking, and now it seems they're avoiding the situation by not answering the phones or replying to e-mails.

avoid at all costs!!
