The new IE has had breaching issues already, had enough of them and their security issues, slow browsing etc. I don't use it unless i got no other choice such as browsing on a locked computer. It's barrel bottom shit to me.

Reinstall it mate and it might well fix it... I'd download it using another computer, pop it on a memory stick and then you can plug that into the dodgy computer to reinstall it (obviously you couldn't download it ont hat comp because IE doesn't "work").

Internet explorer is fine for novice users and people just browsing the web on eBay, facebook, checking their hotmail etc.
If you're a heavy web user though get Opera. Chrome is okay, but Opera does everything Chrome does and more, I especially like the session save feature.. something chrome unfortunately lacks.
The only other time you need to use IE is for compatibility purposes. As far as speed goes however, if you have Vista/7 - IE 9 is as quick as anything else.

chrome > opera
also chrome has a plugin which you can enable to view webpages as if it were IE for compatibility.

Ah, not for me. I like the session save options, the general customisability, it literally has every feature under the sun from every browser imaginable. You can change literally anything in opera, but I guess it comes down to personal preference. The one thing I do like about chrome is how it treats each tab as a difference process so if one crashes it doesn't take them all.. But you don't need to do that with Opera because it will save your sessions. I don't just mean "restore" which sometimes works with chrome (although it can do that) but properly save.
