Fireworks
Thought i would ask a few questions before saturday night in preporation. What sorts of shutter speeds and good for fireworks? Too long it will be a light blur not long enough it will be dark. Dont want to spend half the night taking shit shots. Taking a tripod! Also should i use Multi-point focus or Centre? Thanks REP Given

that was handheld at 1600 ISO.
Its up to you dude... First of all I'd put the camera in manual focus and then set it at infinity, the camera is unlikely to focus quickly enough (if at all because of the light conditions). Use a tripod and low shutter speed low ISO if you want to maintain trails and stuff.
With hand held stuff a bit of guesswork is needed for the point at which the firework explodes. you'll have a lot more luck with the finale as they tend to shoot off a shitload of fireworks which can look cool (as what happened in the above pic).
