Things have gone well today! For a change
Done today so far:
Got the strut swapped.
Gearbox Oil in.
Callipers and discs fitted and bled.
Wax-oil'd under the welding.
Refitted the washer bottle.
Fitted front spacers and longer bolts.
All thats left to do after tea:
Fit washers to exhaust clamp to stop it blowing.
Refit battery.
Test brakes are bled properly.
Mount seat to frame.
Mount harness.
(Might fit passenger seat and seatbelt from VTR)
Tidy electrics inside car.
Brush out and wash car tomorrow.
Got a few pics as I've been working today so I'll get some up later. I should be able to get some pics of the car in the garden tomorrow rather than in the garage!
I'm due to pick up the transporter tomorrow at 1700 from Bradford so I might be able to get her loaded up and nip to a nice big car park somewhere for a test drive!!!!
Fingers crossed!

Yeah, hopefully. Worst bit now is mounting the seat. I need to drill the holes in the sidemounts and the boxsection, then move the tubing from the origional holes to the new holes.
Just remebered, i need to get the lower strut brace off the vtr tomorrow too!! lol.
This cars been up and down on the jack more than a fucking yoyo! Hehehehe.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!
Found a water leak and an electrical fault!!!!!
The little Schrader valve seems to leak when the water pressure goes up and the blower doesn't work unless I waggle the cables at the back of the fuse box.
Not massive jobs I guess but I don't want to be finding these faults now!
Wondering if I should just throw everything in to the VTR!

Didnt think there was a valve in there thought it was just a cap? Is it over-pressurising?

Also, the Met office is saying their will be snow on Saturday but not on Sunday. So any that does fall will be well gone before we get there.
We may run into some snow on the way through to the hotel though.
Are you stopping over or driving down on the day?

Paul, it's a self drive hire Dear but insurance and mileage allowance are included!
I looked at the hose and your right, it's just a bleed hose
New cap on, tried to start car to test... Dead battery! F**K!
The electricity seems to be leaking out somewhere! Need to figure that out now.
Plus, I've given up on swapping the lower strut brace over. I need to find someone with some money for hire first!
